What Hoopfolio is

Hoopfolio is a basketball card portfolio tracker. You create an account, log your cards, and we show you estimated market values. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and password (stored as a hash — we never see your raw password).
• Collection data. Your collection entries — which cards you own, what you paid for them, condition, grades, notes, and any card photos you upload.
• Usage data. Basic server-side logs from our infrastructure provider (Supabase and Vercel), such as request timestamps and error traces. We don't run any analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use your information

• To operate your account and display your collection.
• To send transactional emails — account confirmation and password reset only.
• To estimate market values for your cards using third-party pricing APIs.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as described below.

Third-party services

We rely on the following services to operate Hoopfolio. Each handles data under their own privacy policies.

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Vercel — web hosting and edge functions.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at feedback@hoopfolio.app. We'll process the request within 30 days.

Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit, row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data, and rely on Supabase's infrastructure for data at rest. No security measures are perfect, but we take reasonable precautions.

Children

Hoopfolio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of Hoopfolio after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
